I grew up immersed in nature, in our wild overgrown backyard, teeming with life, and the vibrant garden of our neighbours. This early experience convinced me firsthand that nature is an incredible educator. I joined the Teach for Nature Fellowship with an aim to empower children by nurturing in them a beautiful connect with mother nature and helping them cultivate a sense of stewardship for themselves and the environment.
My identity is deeply rooted in a lifelong connection to nature and this beautiful connect has ignited my curiosity and nurtured my emotional intelligence. It has nurtured in me a self-awareness that has guided me to pursue my passions. I am a Child Counselor. I love to tinker around in my beautifully thriving herb garden. I enjoy my cuppas with the birds that visit my garden. I love to weave and travel to explore new places where nature is at her best. My love for nature and my connect with her makes me who I am. We live in an era where screens often replace outdoor experiences. Connecting with nature allows children to experience nature as an incredible life-skill coach. A sure method of nurturing a much-needed emotional quotient in an age where technology is fast dehumanizing us, don't you think?
