After working in the corporate sector for over a decade, I'm currently in the 'Unlearning’ chapter of my life.
Volunteering with diverse NGOs and communities fighting the good fight, helped me realise that individual action will not help us tackle the environmental crisis. It will require raising our collective consciousness, via a critical rethink of our systems and our mindsets regarding ideas like development and consumption. At all levels from schools and neighborhoods, to businesses and governance.
I believe that when you truly immerse in nature, you feel a deep sense of awe, that drives you to be a protector of nature. And for me, the Teach for Nature Fellowship is a fantastic opportunity to help spark this connection, among the future custodians of Planet Earth.
