Ardra Shankar
Bengaluru, Karnataka
TFN Fellow 2025
Growing up, Ardra spent a lot of time immersed in the natural world, tracing woody vines and leaf litter, following ant trails, and tending all creatures living and dead, silent and sacred. She brings this devotion to the classroom, drawing upon that sustained bond to foster a sense of curiosity and creativity, empowering children to become changemakers. She believes that instead of placing on their delicate shoulders the burden of saving the planet, we must strive to create a safe learning space for children to engage with nature, so that taking care of it becomes second nature.
An educator and a creative, she embarks on this journey hoping to nurture children towards a slower, kinder, more sustainable way of living.
