Amit Singh Negi grew up in the mountains of Uttarakhand, where his love for nature took root, and the wilderness became his first teacher. Moving to the city only deepened his appreciation for the environment, leading him to spend hours exploring ecology and the interconnectedness of life. With a background in Civil Engineering from NIT Durgapur and a Young India Fellowship from Ashoka University, Amit has engaged in diverse experiences, from conservation work with communities to teaching and outreach.
As part of Teach for Nature, he is dedicated to integrating environmental awareness into education, helping young minds develop a deeper, more personal connection with nature. He believes environmental education goes beyond conservation—it is about understanding the intricate interconnections that shape our world. His mission is to inspire students to see nature not as something separate but as an essential part of their lives—one that must be understood, respected, and protected for generations to come.
