Rainforest Adventure at the Sharvathi Valley Rainforest

"What we enjoy we love, what we love we care for"
The Western Ghats is one of the Bio- diversity hotspots of the world- an area for all of us to experience, explore and cherish. The programme in the Sharavathi Valley will include treks through breathtakingly beautiful routes along the Sharavathi River.

On one of the two days, you would camp at Bhoomi Center in the Sharavati Valley. On the second day, we will visit Muppane, which is ideal for water activities - you can swim and enjoy the vast, safe backwaters of the Linganamakki (life jackets, however are a must according to Forest rules); row a canoe, go kayaking, take a ride in coracle and learn to build a raft from scratch. Those who wish to quietly float and meditate in the water can do so too.

This programme accommodates people with ability to go on moderately tough treks; those who have no trekking experience will also be supported by the resource persons and others. Direct contact with the resource people / programme co-ordinator can be made to clarify your doubts. Please make sure you read the programme information sheet carefully.
